Tamás Simon
1st Assistant Camera / Focus Puller
Tamas has been working in the camera department since 2012, in Hungary, Budapest as 2nd AC and later as 1st AC. He has worked together with internationally acclaimed Hungarian director, Szabolcs Hajdu on a feature film ‘It’s Not the Time of My Life’ which won the Crystal Globe Award at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival.
Having moved to UK last year, he realised that even though he had great experience on local and international productions from TVCs to TV-series, he has to restart his career to learn the UK settings. Currently he's working at VMI.tv as Senior Camera Technician and is lucky enough to be one of the first to sample and test equipment for productions like Midsommer Murders and Brassic. He can most certainly haggle to get the best deal for equipment hire if you go with him!
