A self-shooting Director/Producer with a background in documentary, music videos & promotional content. I am comfortable overseeing smaller projects from concept to completion, as well as slotting into larger crews, drawing from experiences in both production & camera departments on a number of larger projects. My first venture into the documentary world was as a Camera Operator & Producer on the multi award winning ‘Another News Story’ (2017). Since then I have been the DoP/Camera Operator and a Co-Creator of ‘Uprooted’ a feature documentary currently in post production and completed my first feature documentary as a Director of ‘The Earth Orchestra’ (2021). The latter also saw the launch of my production company Old Oak Film.
Making documentaries in challenging environments has taught me invaluable lessons about performing in stressful situations to achieve the best possible results. Carving engaging narratives that tell the stories of injustices continues to inspire me to help those who need it, alongside developing my skills as a filmmaker and storyteller outside the world of documentary. From the jungles of Borneo to refugee camps in Europe, I have gained vital experience and learnt many lessons that maintains the development of my work, from a single day shoot for a small business’s promotion video to a three month largely crewed feature and everything in-between.
